Julia Valtanen, born in 1988, based in Tallinn, Estonia. Graduated with a master’s degree in graphic design (2011). Completed an one-year painting course at the Estonian Academy of Art (2019-2020). In her work she creates unusual forms whose images flow from one to the other, thus Julia blends the boundaries of the imaginary and the real. The desire to capture the subtle movement of matter that binds everything around us together is an important motif in her art. Julia is interested in the different ways in which
the human and non-human interact with each other.
